An Anglican vicar in a village near us always welcomes them in and then proceeds to debate and argue with them until they're desperate to leave!

My door bell rang one Sunday morning. I opened the front door a crack and peered out and the lady immediately went into her spiel. I said "Look, madam, I can't come out there - I'm not dressed - you had better step inside" She was off like a shot. Len

Len!!! lol. My uncle was a Jehovah's Witness so when they come around I ask if they knew him. I think they feel that if he couldn't convert me they are wasting their time. Heather

Mormons got me on a bad day once.... I opened the door to.. "Hi Mam we're from Jesus christ an the latter day saints" I said... "Oh right Mormons, well you can forget it coz I work hard for what I have an no flash get in a white suit is getting 25% of it" I had a ciggie in my hand at that time and one of them snidely said.. "Oh you'd rather waste it on Cigarettes" I said "Yes thats right I spend it all on fags an coffee thats me a nicotine and caffeine lover" Then I turned and pointed to my man who had come to see what the shouting was about and said.. "An see him there... he's mine an I'm sharing him with no effer so Goodbye" They have never troubled me since... LOL Shaz x

If one engages religious fanatics in argument, they are usually intellectually challengedand unsure of historical facts and can easily be demolished. However, I would not like to take anything from them that I could not replace with a better alternative so prefer to leave them intact. Len

Hi All When my oldest son was young i had a jehova witness and her son who was about the same age as mine move in a few doors away from me. Her son was always in the window watching the other kids playing outside. I said to her one day (trying to be neighbourly )" let your son play outside with the other kids as it is safe for him to do so as the other mothers keep an eye on them. My reply was "any child that is not a jehova is the devils child ". Needless to say an argument came next and many more after that. She later moved and good ridence. Ally
