I suppose it is hard enough for your hubbie to give up without having the inducement to re-start, by seeing you smoking. I have an ongoing battle with my husband (who smokes) to do it away from lounge and kitchen as the smell to me, a N/S, is revolting. I also cough and cough if I walk into a smokey atmosphere. Having watched his sister die of lung cancer over a six month period, horrendous treatment to no avail, I am surprised he continues to put 'that little white stick' in his mouth, but the addiction is too strong, after fifty years......... Deb - good for you, abstaining in other peoples' homes........I can never bring myself to impose a ban when visitors call, but know people who do! My sympathy goes out to all you smokers, it sounds as if you are going to be ostracised in all public places in the next two years - perhaps another reason to give up? GOOD LUCK! Dilys
