Given 47 units so far! The needle thing isn't too much of a problem if you don't look!! Its the drop of blood they get from your finger thats worse!! Anne |

I've been giving blood on and off for the past 12 years. I had to stop when I had a tattoo done, then again when I had my nose pierced and again after a miscarriage. It's handy for knowing what blood group you are! lol It's a very worth while cause. Naomi x |

I wish I could give blood, but I've been told by the blood donor unit that because I take drugs for epilepsy, I need to keep my blood. How possessive of me, eh, lol. Hubby gives blood, though. I salute you all, you luverly people. Glenys x |

my daughter had meningitis 7yrs ago and was give blood products,so a HUGE thanks to everyone that gives.i really like to but i always pass out when they do it,i'm not needle phobic so i don't know why.my mum wanted to be a donor but couldn't because of the medication she takes |

ive given 10 pints altogether, but stopped when I was pregnant 10 years ago. on medication now, bit will give again one day Elaine x |

linda i am very needlephobic but if a person was placed in front of me i would do it.i think if people where faced with it then more would give blood just like organ donors.to see someones life saved when they could have died would be so rewardingxxx(: |
