He may become very famous,in which case his very unusual name will be excellent. You never know do you.I know all of my boys dislike the names we christened them with.

Hi Kylie People are trying much harder to give their kids different names now. I think it sounds ok. You reminded me of a family I saw on TV last year (think it was on Wife Swap) who had about five children who all had strange names. One of the girls was called Calamity Jane and one of the boys was Bo Jangles. Can't remember the rest but they were all named after film characters I think. So your friend could have picked a worse name! Lynne

Kylie when I had my first daughter and called her Melissa My Nan said "Thats one of those made up names isn't it" and I remember that I said to her well Nan "They were all made up at one time or another I think" and when I hear a name I don't particuarly like I say to myself well it's a good job we don't all like the same names we'd all be John and Betty, my niece called her son Zane and their sir name is Danger so at first I thought that was funny but I'm used to it now so your friends choice will probably grow on you and be grateful she didn't pinch a name you wanted like my friend did to me lol ,love Laraine

Zahn! Well at least it's more imaginative than the string of "William son of William son of William" that my ancestors picked (yes, even my middle name is William!). Just think - his descendants will love it as he'll be so easy to track down!

Zahn is still better than Apple, Gwyneth Paltrows daughter. I always wanted to change my name when I was little, did any one else? There was always a nicer name. Come on be honest, I aways wanted to be called Sam, short for Samantha.
