I'm back. Couple of interesting things I might use: Post Office Theft and Murder Bogus Doctor The Body in the Grate Mersey Tunnel Fatality Burgulary by Boys Tampering With the Penny In The Slot Machine Fight Between Ladies The above are all from the year 1900. Going back tommorow to do some more research.

Sorry about you wasted journey (although it's not my fault but thought I should say something :-) I phoned up about an hour ago and booked a microfiche reader. It's open till 8 which should give me plenty of time. I'll be looking through the old newspapers for serious crimes commited in the 19th Cen. Looking for about 20 cases all together. Then over the next few months I'll be writing them up in book form and then sending the first draft to Terry Deary who will look at it and write the foreword. Then I'll send it to a publishers who deal in these types of books and then hopefully, it'll be in the shops. Long way to go yet though.
