Apparently the south east is going to get the worst of the weather today. Down by the coast in the southeast corner of Kent we've had several heavy snow showers but all too wet to settle. |

Right all you snow lovers. It's started here again, coming down thick and fast so I'll willingly send you on my share. Don't think it is settling although the sky looks full of it. |

So how much snow has the UK had in the last few days? Saw on Skynews the pictures of, what looked like, heavy snow around Scotland and the North East of England... did it stay, or has it all melted? Since I moved to Michigan (from Bucks), I've had to re-evaluate two things.... the British definition of "bitterly cold", we had a high of -18C Saturday gone; and something my mam used to say all the time when I was a kid hoping for snow... "It's too cold to snow"... we got 12" of snow that day it was -18C!! The two things I've learned in Michigan are, it can always get colder and it's never too cold to snow! We've had 37" since December, but we're still luckier than Boston who got 32" the day we got 12". Haven't had a snow day yet this winter either. LOL Stay warm! RG |

No snow here yet (Milton keynes). apart from getting a little one evening in November, and about 12 flakes yesterday morning, we haven't had any. Only "proper" snow I've seen was alongside the m6 on Boxing Day |
