Need you opinions. A story I am writing has offensive words blanked out. The lines are, "You*** thing, you have got one at last?" "I wil kick you, you *** Welsh devil!" What words do you think were likely to have been blanked out in an article reporting it at the time? I was wondering if they may have been quite `normal` today words like Bloody but considered much more offensive back then.

Dam was considered a bad word to use in those days. Bev

Even 'dashed' 'deuce' and 'devil' you will find blanked out in books like Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre I believe. Don't think they would have dared even hint at anything stronger! Maz. XX
