What is the length of ENGALND in miles please?

I google searched "length England north south miles" and one website (a children's school's) came up with this. Hope it helps. Joy Geographic coordinates: 54 00 N, 2 00 W Land area: 243,000 sq km (93,000 sq miles). Coastline: 12,429 km Length: Just under 1,000 km (600 miles) from North to South Width: About 480 Km from east to west

Well I googled " Englands most northerly town " and it said Berwick upon Tweed, and put that to Lands End in the AA site........ its says 487.7 miles. Is that what you are looking for ?? Andrea :o)
