Who's had a root filling done before?

I've had a few, they generally remove the nerve so that it doesn't give anymore trouble. A little while ago since I had one, takes longer but at least you know it won't give any more problems. As you are numbed it doesn't feel any worse, good luck. Diane |

i had one done 12 years ago.the most painful thing ever.i've had 5 kids and would say the root filling was worse.sorry to put you off but honesty is the best policy esp where dentists are concerned.i haven't been since,scared me to death. |

Just come back from the dentist, having been there yesterday as well. Have had a sensitive tooth since Christmas and wondered whether I would need another filling but upon initial inspection, the dentist couldn't find anything wrong. She took some x-rays yesterday and after examining them, reckoned that the existing filling wasn't doing its job properly. She did a straight swap and replaced it with another filling but because it's close to the nerve reckoned I may need a root filling if this one doesn't do the trick. Who's had a root filling done, is there much to it? |
