Do you reckon I should include a list of names and streets featured in my book at the back? Would it make a difference?

That's what I was thinking, but I also wondered if non-genealogist people would want to check it.

I think it would be fascinating whether they are interested in gen: or not-Rose

Definitely do an index babe, as it then has more appeal to non gen peeps!!

Sorry, but missed the subject of your book. Is it your family tree? If so, then an index of names would be great; shows at a glance to others if there might be a connection for them. Good luck anyway. Helen

Right, I'll definitley do an index. The book is about Wirral Crime in the 19th Century. Lots of interesting cases to write about. I found one today where a woman attacked someone with the whip from her horse and trap!

Not a pleasant lady! Helen

Doesn't appear so. She accused the woman she hit of trying to woo her husband from her. I think she got the message!

Daniel, if you want to be taken seriously, always do an index. It's the difference between professionals and amateurs. B
