Working up my tree, I have got back to the first cousins who married. I added his mother and his father. I added her father and now I want to add her mother but her mother is his father's sister. I have already added their parents above his father. My brain is aching. Maybe I will just draw it on a piece of paper and go and do something else for a bit of light relief - like some quantum mechanics! Abigail

If I have read it correctly you need to put in the parents, even if as "Unknown" and then add the other child.

Now, after I removed loads of people from the top down and then readded some of them in a different order I have sorted out the first mess. I haven't readded the other wives and half siblings yet. Now I need to find out how I link my great great great grandmother to her brother, also my great great great grandfather, but on the other branch of my family. To make it clearer my great great grandfather and great great grandmother were first cousins. I have input my great great grandfather and his parents. How do I link my great great great grandmother to her parents? It is asking me to input them but will this not cause a duplicate to be made instead of a link? Abigail
