Does anyone else have an ancester who was 'born in Hanover, British Subject' ? I was wondering what British people would have been doing there c. 1819. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

There was "House of Hanover" :) Perhaps he was the son of someone who worked for the Crown (or Army etc) stationed in Hanover in Germany at that time. I know the Prussians were out allies a few years earlier in 1815, so who knows... Just a though. |
