My big winter coat is red with a tartan scarf. It is lovely and warm. My windjack is navy blue. I like bright colours too and wear lots of red and blue. Sylvia xxx

Ann I think people wear black/brown in the winter as it doesn't show up splashmarks from the rain so much! But there are lots of bright scarves, gloves, hats around in the shops, especially if you are keen on stripes. I wear a lot of hot pink and bright red in the winter, and recently ordered some bright pink corduroy trousers in a catalogue sale. The colour was described as "light rhubarb" but it was more like a salmon-pink only hotter. I got a jumper EXACTLY the same shade in a sale and when I wore them together everyone remarked on how nice it was to see something bright on such a dull day. But I must admit my main winter coat is black! nell

I agree with you, I've noticed the same thing for years. I love bright colours, I'm wearing red at the moment!

No one feels at their best during the winter so why oh why are all the clothes year after year miserable? Ladies coats always seem to be black, navy, dk. brown, dk green - none of which do anything for me even when I was in my twenties. Before Christmas I was looking for a sweater for my son, all miserable shades of brown and blue and I mean miserable. My husband gave me an idea and I went to the local golf course - lots of nice colours in mens sweaters. Ann
