Val If she can be persuaded, she is better off with Broadband, apart from the fact that it is faster, it works out a lot cheaper in the long run. I used to be on pay as you go and my phone bill become huge! Anne

Idon,t rearlly understand all these differant packages but i am on Wanadoo Broadband and pay £17.99 a month. I suppose it is up to my friend ,but she may well find it expensive as she lives alone so i can see her being on here quite a lot. Val

Hi Val i'm on tesco.net its 12.49 a month and i can go on for as long as i want with no extra charges, the only disadvantage is it does disconnect after a while, so you have to log back in, and you can't get phone calls at the same time sandra

Thanks for all the advice i will pass it on to here, but i still think she would be better off with broadband .I am on Wanadoo and i do not pay anything to Bt for the line and can be on for up to 15 hours a day. Would never be on that long Hubby would go mad. Val

Sandra I was on Tesco Net anytime, and that too kept on disconnecting, sometimes every few minutes at one point. Changed to Tesco Net Broadband £19.97 (no download limitations) speed 576.000 bps. Have had no problems at all. All works out to less than a pound a day. Elaine x
