Morning to you Sheila, I had quick look just now following your advice and found that the West Yorkshire Archive in Bradford has records for the Bingley Musical Union for the 20th century. As I believe most of these guys lived in or around Keighley it might be worthwhile me contacting the WY Archive - thanks for the suggestion. I also believe that the chaps in the orchestra were amateurs as my husband's Grandfather was described as an Insurance Agent on his death certificate in 1930 (he was only 40)....thanks again, Yvonne

Have just come across a studio photograph of the above. One of the members is my husbands grandfather Joseph Frederick Birch. The photo would have been taken sometime between 1920 and 1930 and shows six young men posing with their instruments - Saxaphone, Trumpet, Violin, Drums, Piano and Banjo - against a fabric backdrop of East Riddlesden Hall in West Yorkshire. If anyone else knows about this Orchestra or any of its members I would be thrilled to hear from them. Yvonne
