Is the church still up? If so, does anyone know where in Soho it is?

Hi Chloe I'm fairly certain that St Anne's is still standing and is on the left handside as you go into the street (Wardour?)off Shaftesbury Avenue David:)

Hi there On my Greater London Street Atlas St Anne's is marked just north of Shaftesbury Avenue and on the right hand side of Wardour Street heading north. I bet if you google you will also find some interesting info about it. nell

It is still there but it's not original because the building was hit quite badly during WW2. We were told that the records are held at a nearby Church.(My Aunt knows the current Vicar) Sheila

Nell You're quite right - it's on the right hand side just into Wardour Street (not very good at left and right:)) David

Thanks everyone. I went to see it. They were really helpful there. Explained that the only original bit of the church that survived the Blitz was the clock. The 'vicarage' is used for young homeless people trying to get back on their feet. The garden/churchyard is fenced off too Wardour Street, and obviously shut at night. I was upset that the original building wasn't there. But it was still nice to visit.

Sheila - aren't the records help at the LMA, that's where most of London's records are kept....
