I saw the TV mini-series of On the Beach was ok but I liked the original film version.

Phew Dorothy...........enjoy that cuppa. You deserve it, that wa a goody, and i don't like war films! Lucia my son says he doesn't folow fashions, he used to be a Goth. Yet when I go up town there are hundreds of them....all following a fashion!

Jeepers - Christine the fast fingers sleuth - I would say it IS right because Fred Astaire drove the racing car to oblivion in that film.

SAme when i was young Aileen and got my platforms, thought i was great until Mum told me they wore them in the 1940's. Yeah every fashion is just recycled! Well apart from my daughters tongue piercing! We weren't THAT daft!!

Lucia my precious. What you have to remember is that we have all been there, done it, got the sweatshirt and invented the wheel. What you see now is everything we did recycled. Just like Pat (Going round in Circles). Latest fashion is brown girls. Remember those bloody awful tights, they are back again. Oh and a white blouse, give us a break. Maybe we better invent something new us golden oldies. Just for the sheer hell of it. Those were the days my friend We thought they'd neve end We's sing and dance for ever and a day........ Nostalgia.

Right Pat ...a film from a book about something that was dreaded would happen during the cold war. Unusual casting. Someone who danced, sang and acted during the 30's and 40's and drove a fast car? I think
