Just think of families back in the 16th century - males were wanted in all births - history records that a royal wife was often despatched by trumped up charges.

All of my ancestors were poor. I have a relative who died of whooping cough in 1844. I know this was a consequence of the squalid conditions. Lucia

well my grandmother's aunt is still alive and she was born in 1911. My granny's great grandmother was born 1853 and died in 1950. Lucia

Lucia the deaths of our ancestors is sad, no medical care for the working class, my great great grandmother took a month to die after her first born child she had a fever imagine for a month child bearing hard in those days, can't figure out how some had so many sad the wealth of a nation, die so young so thoughtlessly why always someone else to take their place.

ooo all of my lot lived to a ripe old age(well apart from my Mum) but on my Dads side they were all over 75

My greatx3 and my 4xgreat grandmother died quite young. One died at 40 of Phthisis and another died at 46 of "Cancer of the Head". I thought this was really sad. Lucia
