Well I move the plaits out of the way (they keep my knees warm), put on my deer stalker and go searching in unlikely places. I worked on an archive (went from 1805 to 1997) and there were literally hundreds of thousands of people in it. It had never been researched before (nor since) and so many of these people's lifelong efforts were unknown about. I tried to find their families to tell them about their ancestors
