gedcom export worries

I would be interested to know if anyone has had an email saying thier gedcom has been successfully exported - yet they have not requested an export. This has happened to me this week. The reply from customer support is that I either requested it by acccident or someone with access to my PC did it. No on has access to my PC, much less my genes password, and I certainly would not request an export by accident. I have had some concerns that security has been compromised as I have been tryng to contact a member who has taken personal information about living people from my tree, without permission and without requesting from me that I allow him to view the tree. I suppose he could have taken it from my cousin's tree with his permission, but I can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Is it normal for someone to have over 55000 relations added to their tree - so big that I can't view it. I'm interested in other people's experiences as I teach people how to trace family history, and they often ask me about security on the various sites |
