Hi, I have been trying find out if there are any Beardmores living in the Sheffield area, or if anyone know's of any Beardmores living around the Crickett Inn Road, Wybourn Area back in the 1950's. My grandfather was named Ernest Beardmore Thompson, he was born in 1902 on Princess St, Brightside and took his mothers name as his mother never married the father????? I have been searching for some years without success whether the double barrel name is his fathers surname. My dad thinks he remembers visting someone around the Wybourn area with his father with the surname Beardmore. My nan would never dicuss any of this with the family when she was alive so I am guess there could be some truth in this. Hope someone can finally help me out on this one. Pleeeaaasseee. Thanks Rachel
