We have a Lam*son and Lam*ton Surname study underway in the US, but our earliest ancestors (Barnabas, William and Thomas) originate in the UK and we would like to jump the pond to include any of our Lam*son or Lam*ton cousins that we can find. We are looking for MALE Y-DNA participants with the above surname variations--Lam*son and Lam*ton (Lamson, Lampson, Lambson, Lampton, Lambton) IF any of you have already tested with Oxford DNA, would you be so kind as to share your Y-DNA marker results with us? We post on a private login website only. We identify only by the Oldest Known Ancestor and location, not by the tester. IF you are interested in testing, we have several labs we work with and have varying price ranges and possible subsidies. Please get a free login for our Global Lam*son Myfamily.com database (this shows a downloadable excel results file) at: http://lamson.myfamily.com See combined results (all variations, locations and testing labs) at http://www.ysearch.org/lastname_lastname.asp?uid=&lastname=Lamson&searchtype=exact®ion=&excludeuid= Lam*son Y-DNA Surname Project at FamilyTree DNA: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/LamsonLampsonLambson/ Relative Genetics Lam*son DNA Project: http://www.relativegenetics.com/genomics/search/projectprospect.html?pid=52577 We are quite elated that we have 6 results so far and more on the way (from the USA)!
