Living relatives

It always amuses me and at the same time hinders, when you get permission to veiw someones site and see the name you may be looking for dated in the 1800's with no other information below it other than living relative. Do the records books also have these persons on them, they must be just a bit crusty by now. Living relative means just that not that they have living relatives 200+ down the line,
