We used to build dens out of sheets and the old clothes horses at Nans house too. One day I remember moving a canvas sack - really heavy. It toppled over and literally thousands of ball bearings spilled out all over the lawn. try as I might I couldn't stop them - looked like that advert with millions of coloured balls bouncing all down the road! Only this time it was beautiful steel bearings, tinkling all down the pathand bouncing everywhere!! Picked up a lot - then squashed the rest into the lawn! Still laugh now and wonder how many neighbours windows were shot out by the lawnmower!! Another time I borrowed an Axe - but that is another tale!!
