she always amazed me if nothing else the fact that she lived through both world wars.....at aged just 13 she worked in a huge manor house on the land the house i grew up in was aswell as my dad and all his brothers and sisters......our house was built where the grounds used to be.......down the road from us you could still see the servants steps up to the plot of land that became a new council housing estate..........she told us stories and had pictures of the old house...........from almost 80years before i was born. |
