Must admit it all looked terrible on the news here. I was expecting things to be worse when I was home, but then Liverpool is pretty sheltered from most of the extreme weather. I travelled down to London by train and some of the fields were well and truely under water. As I said I hope everyone on here missed the worst of it. Loved the poem Colin. My FIL kept us all entertained with his stories of his youth and his time in the Navy before and during he 2nd World War. Sadly he passed away recently so all those stories are now lost. |
