THE SUPRISE MEETING ------------------------------------------ Say you fellow-wasnt you there its for sure you i saw in Elliot Lake at that great game on the night of the bear say man was that really some stake your bound to remember mad herman and pete the big roaring wild swede youve got him-old herman the german now that was a fight and indeed ide forgot old herman had on his grizzely suite ime sure glad you jogged my mind and the swede indeed-such a vicious brute used any weapon of which he could find they for sure recked the washroom by the time they got through the only thing whole-frencies broom A ime glad i met you and yes -dick couch was the other guys name knew how you'd remember him well and farmer the limey of fame and of whome it was said lucky guy-not to be dead when kurt werner urged him take drink he got pulled by the bulls in the lake some guy there said i think to arrest him nine it did take before the wife she comes back-remember the looker the big crout broad from the hotel your right so she was-all time favourite hooker man the stories of the lake i could tell but that was the fifties and will soon be forgot both the folke-the good and the bad for people and their memory quickley rott but to see you again ime so glad one thing fore i go-say do you know so did dick couch finally ever get wed we were all-invited to go but i left with muro-we went to TO-- instead youve got me at last-yea i worked behind the bar well- and in my spare time was that I live now-oh not very farr yes and we shall meet up for another good chat theres never been days since the klondike men say as wild that it were then in Elliot lake so long for now un till some other day Ill see you jock-for langsyne sake ------------------------------------------------------------ colin F dedicated to Kem a true poetry lover this is a true story about Elliot lake Canada if you survived the fifties you,d a survived Tombstone
