TARA --------------------- When you lie down at last to sleep the everlasting sleep and when your spirit has flown to its abiding home it is then i shall weep a river it is then i shall remember i shall with joy recall the hours of pleasure we once had when i see woods or climbe a wall when i are feeling very sad oh my dearest little one when through my tears your pretty face i shall recall-when the weary day is done through my river will be your face you looking up at me by the door through trusting eyes- you implore a peace of bread this i will see when you are dead i shall miss you my precious one my sweet companion these many years when i spent nights alone undone taking comfort from your whimpering fears just knowing you were lying there beside my bed-my night to share ------------------------------------------------------ colin F |
