Imagine trying to get off the bus at a 'floating' bus stop, with a pushchair, or if you're in a wheelchair! |

They are not actually floating bus stops locally, but a new cycle path was built alongside the busy A coastal road, where I travel. |

Yes, but as most cyclists never obeyed the laws before the changes to the Highway code why would anyone assume they will now. |

Fortunately although we have quite a few cyclists using the tracks now it is not like London. And I am sure I read that pedestrians have priority over cyclists and cyclists have priority over cars when they cross side roads. |

We don’t have them here, thank goodness. I think if I was travelling in an area with them I would end up as a statistic as an wiukdn’t be expecting it. |

These wretched things are all over London, as the Mayor of London has prioritised cyclists over pedestrians :-| |

yes we have them here. across the cycle lane is a 'zebra crossing'. you find yourself looking right and left as you exit the bus. And I am not agile these days either. |

The headline conjures up all sorts of visions :-S and I had never heard of them but apparently they are bus stops in some parts of England where there are cycle lanes. In order not to obstruct the cyclists the bus stop is outside the lane and passengers get off the bus straight into the cycle lane. |
