I have always worn 'comfy' footwear, especially since I was 20, when I ended up walking 15 miles home in 3ft of snow, in platforms. |

Island there had been a photo of him riding it in the paper only a few days before so we recognised it. Can't guarantee the car was hers but a Mercedes with a registration of VCB outside her house would have been a hell of a co-incidence. |

I bought some leather sandals from Russell and Bromley, expensive for me at the time, but they fitted really well. I wore them a lot, but then the straps started to stretch and they became unusable so had to go in the bin. I've also spent over £100 on Clarks leather knee boots, and those didn't last well either. I'm not generally overly impressed with the quality of things available, and almost certainly not designer brands. |

One of my siblings bought a cardigan in a charity shop for about £5 I think, she wore it for work, she worked in an electronic company on the factory floor and like me didn't know about designer labels but her colleagues were impressed but to her it was a cardigan that kept her warm. |

Sheila :-D I don't think I've spent £100 on anything outside of kitchen equipment and current fuel bills! I think my favourite boots from Hotters are £99 now, worth it as they are comfy (comfy? never thought I'd see the day! :-0) |

I begrudge paying much for clothes, designer labels aren't for me. Virtually all my clothes come from Sainsbury's. |

Probably about £100, in 1991ish, for a pair of Roland Cartier boots (classic black leather). I wore them regularly for years so had my money's worth! |
