There were 2 dolphins in the Thames around Gravesend for a few weeks earlier in the Summer, they were often photographed by members of a local Facebook group.

Sadly last night I heard that 2 dolphins were washed up dead further up the Thames in the heart of London. Probably the same 2.

I wonder if the warm waters are drawing them inland maybe?

Hammersmith is to the west of the City. The River meanders toward Richmond Surrey, where my husband used to go fishing. :-D :-D

Long days of sitting silently in case I disturbed the fish. :-0 :-0 :-0

It becomes tidal after Teddington Lock, out (eventually) to the sea. So maybe it got lost. :-0 :-0

Did it say which stretch of the Thames, Florence? Maybe not within the City of London.

The Thames is a very treacherous River. Lots of swirling and undercurrents

Edit. Just looked up on internet, it was filmed from Hammersmith Bridge, which is outside the City.

Hmm the Seine isnt that really dirty? Would anything survive in it?

Mind you I'm sure the Thames isn't that clean either. I wonder which direction it was going in? Ie towards the open sea or up stream?

Just to be hoped there aren't any in the Seine at the moment!

Did anyone see the picture online of a sharks fin swimming in the Thames? Eek thats a bit worrying as never thought a shark would come that far inland into a river.

I wonder why it did swim inland? Got lost maybe?
