There used to be red squirrels in Valentines Park but the grey squirrels pushed them out...although in some of the grey ones there are little bits of red :-D :-D

Only small pockets of red squirrel colonies left now. :-(

These were chasing each other about…looked like young ones to me. I remember going to stay with my Aunt on Pound Hill in Crawley….there was a wooded area across the road which housed red squirrels….never seen one since. That must have been around 1965

I couldn't make out whether some were young Ann :-D They were very playful :-D :-D One came running up the garden stopped on the patio and stared at me then continued on his way :-D :-D

8 squirrels.. That's a lot in one place.
They are fun to watch.

One must have planted an acorn in our garden, which is growing into a sapling tree :-0

The reason we remembered was we were planning a trip to a few National Trust properties… and there was not a warm dry day in sight for weeks :-0
