I w as phoned yesterday by my surgery offering appointments for us to have the routine flu jabs. I asked about covid jabs and was told that they are not doing them this time and have no idea who else locally will be. She advised me to phone 119 and I was eventually told on there that they aren't taking bookings yet for at least another month and have no idea where we can get them.
As we live in the depths of Cornwall I am hoping for somewhere reasonably local. Has anyone else been offered the jabs or any info on when they can be booked?

When we had our last Covid jabs our surgery booked us straight in for our next one on 29th September. Flu jab will be done at the same time. We haven’t heard that anything has changed so I assume they are expecting to have the vaccine to hand.

I have not heard anything from our surgery but understand that it will be late September/October.

Our surgery has a message on its website saying they would contact us in September to book for the double jabs in October.

Everywhere seems to be different, but as we didn't get our last one until May, I am not expecting to be done until November.

Thanks everyone - previously we seemed to be one of the earliest areas to be given the jab, but I guess we'll just have to be patient patients this time!

Have had six covid vacs so far
The docs did nos three cos I was going into hospital for knee replacement surgery in April 2021

But have had invites since for top ups as as identified as vulnerable because of age and cancer treatment and had to go to a local chemists by appointment

The spring one though was at a local centre that reopened to do the jab

My doctor is part of the group but they don’t get many doses to treat those not able to get to the centre
It does seem a bit unorganised!

I'm currently on the phone..in a queue waiting for blood test results at doctors.
Our surgery will apparently continue to be a hub for Covid vaccines, but they do not book appointments.
To get an appointment, you have to book online or phone 119.

Our surgery was a hub for several other surgeries in the area. Since covid we have never been able to make an appointment for the jab with the surgery. We have always had to wait for a text giving us either a link or a dedicated phone number.
