I could see 3 different lots from my window. They were all organised displays, back on for the first time since lockdown. Our local one is organised by the Naval Base and is very popular with the residents. It didn't rain, either, for a change!

I decided it was too cold to stand in the porch watching the local school firework display. It went on for the usual length of time but I did feel that there were not so many going off together.

I was surprised to see and hear that there were more in our locality than there have been for several years. It was as if money seemed no object because I know they aren’t cheap. To say I am gobsmacked would be an understatement! :-0

There are a few places around here, with tenants associations that organise displays for the kids which is lovely.

We had fireworks from about 4pm when it got dark, until about 12.30am when the older kids thought it would be ok to let them off in the streets. Which kept me awake.

I stood and watched the display from the window at, which I assumed, Alley Palley, in the distance.

I have to say I dont really mind the fireworks, but I dont go to watch them anymore.

I stood in my very small back garden, with views to nowhere (house one side, trees the other side, shed blocking 3rd view and next door the 4th) and saw 3 garden displays at once :-(

There wasn't this much last year.

Quite a few bangs in the distance and one very short burst close but all stopped by 10pm. No really big displays in the immediate area.

We've had constant bangs and flashes from 5pm to 10pm.

Not as much going off as usual, maybe people really can't afford them, shame in a way, I used to like watching them.
I think manufacturers should make silent ones so as not to frighten animals.
