Being given to those queuing for the Queens lying in state, why weren't they given to the homeless, the the homeless didn't volunteer to be homeless, those queing for the Queen did choose to do that so not deserving of the blankets etc.

A bit harsh.

Just because someone has decided to queue doesn’t mean they’ve got enough sense to dress warmly. Sometimes you just don’t realise how the cold will affect you.

Nameslessone In a nice way I disagree with you, it is my opinion but as I say the homeless didn't volunteer to be homeless but they aren't given blankets. X.

Don’t some of the charities give out blankets and sleeping bags.

As the festival season has just finished there will be lots of discarded tents and sleeping bags going that way too. At least that is what we are told.

It is quite possible that the discarded queue blankets will go the same way.

As I understand it the blankets are being returned, washed and handed out again.

There needs to be a store of such items for use in national disasters.

I read somewhere that they were those emergency foil blankets.

Probably better and more cost effective than having people collapse with the cold and having to cal ambulances to take them to already overcrowded hospitals.
