Spent the day in Hyde Park watching a big screen along with hundreds of others.

Guns going off behind us every minute. Followed by chimes of Big Ben. There was silence in the park. It was boiling hot but plenty of room to sit.

Green park was closed this morning but opened later so just been to see the flowers.

I went to the Tower this morning to see SuperBloom. <3

Sadly it is not at its best. What with the really hot spell, and then the torrential rain, some parts of it are parched. Nevertheless I took lots of photos.

I spoke to some of the stewards, who said that seeds would be collected when they all die down, and they will be replanted next year.

It was fairly empty down there, maybe the interested parties have gone to Buck House instead.

Just watched the procession and the Laying in State. What a wonderful spectacle and tribute to the Queen..

What a bleddy night I had. OH had gone to watch telly in another bedroom while I read in bed and I think he’d fallen asleep in front of the box!

I was woken about two with something wafting over my face and when I switched on the lamp I saw a ginormous crane fly dancing around on the ceiling. Not wanting to be attacked again, I got some loo roll and stood on the bed trying to waft it down to within reach. It took about five or ten minutes before it fell to the floor and was still alive when I did the glass and paper trick, opened one the bedroom w8ndow and released it to the outside world.

I ended up downstairs with a drink at around 3 because I could not get back to sleep.

OH never heard a thing - even when I was bouncing on the bed (and cursing).

I could have been stolen! :-0 :-0 :-0
