You ***** Maddie. :-D :-D

I am pleased all is OK. You must be a prize patient. :-D

I is in a funny mood today.

OH was told his phosphate levels weren’t right so he needs different tablets. After googling it, he asked me if I knew the symptoms . ‘No,’ says I. ‘Irritability is one’ he said.

I fell about laughing. ‘How would they ever know, you’ve been crabby as long as I’ve known you.’ He did laugh - he knows it’s true.

It’s bleddy catching too, I have to watch myself. :-0

Some lovely pics of the queen on telly at the mo. <3

Evening All :-D <3 <3

Lots of lovely speeches in tribute to the Queen. <3 <3

Pleased you are staying Joy. :-)

Thanks for asking about yesterday, it was a check up on my procedure earlier this year, but I had to have photos taken. I had them taken when it was being done, and yesterday to show how I had healed. It was different to the usual procedure, and the photos will be used as a teaching aid to students. So it seems.....I am a Star! ;-)

Maddie, hope all is well

Not heard that Belle as I have been on Gran duty but no doubt it will be repeated.

I am watching Liz Truss and wondering why she still has her 50s schoolgirl lacklustre hairstyle? Almost as bad as Thatcher’s 50s aunt style often liked by the blue rinse brigade. I did read that Truss admired Thatcher so there’s my answer ……

There are a lot of young people colouring their hair silvery-grey at the moment.

I may have to think about a pink rinse - if you can’t beat ‘em …..

Just seen Andrew Tremlett (Dean of St Paul’s now, who was, until a short while ago, Dean of Durham). His weekly letters to congregation we’re always interesting. He spoke well on telly earlier today so I think his new congregation will find him charming and eloquent. I thought it was a lovely idea to hold a service of thanksgiving for the Queen’s life that anyone to attend, not just invitees; 2,000 people who would not normally be invited.

Gawd, don’t get me started on energy and water companies and their profits and greedy CEOs and the like. I just ain’t in the mood - it’s such a strain trying to pull your punches. :-D :-0

Von has talked me into staying on Genes. :-D :-D :-D

I am such a soft pushover. ;-) :-D

Afternoon everyone :-)

Mostly sunshine here.
I had to go into town and most people were in sombre colours and I have seen many flags at half mast, including my neighbour's.
Some shops had window displays in tribute to Her Majesty.
I therefore haven't caught up with today's TV and announcements yet.

I don't remember King George VI, but I remember being in school listening to the radio, when his death was announced :-(

The Queen has been part of our lives for so long, a constant presence through all the changes we've seen, so although most of us never met her, we feel that emptiness and loss personally. <3

I concur with everything you have all said <3

A feeling of emptiness.....watching the TV makes me feel that I'm lot not alone in this feeling :-( <3

The tributes made by the MPs in the House of Commons were very moving <3

Afternoon Belle and Joy :-D <3 <3

Well yes we have been watching tv.

We did not get back from the hospital until late afternoon, and when we turned on the tv it was a real shock.

To be honest I am crying sporadically, and I am not sure why. The Queen has been there all my life, and we never thought it would end.

Showers and sun keep creating rainbows. <3
