There will be some who remember George V as he died in 1936. I do have

newspapers from that time that my parents kept.

I do remember when George V1 died and his coffin being bought up to London from

Sandringham. The Queen too will be bought to London by train after lying in state at

Holyrood Palace.

Think he died Feb and I was born April……I was in attendance at the Coronation street party with my mum and Nan :-D

Yes Fly….I was born 2 months after her father died….so have never known another Monarch :-)
