Hi everyone,
Could anyone advise me on how to find someone that was adopted shortly after birth.
I have birth certificate which states she was adopted.
Many thanks Susan

Susan - you can’t.

Depending on the relationship you may be able to add your name to the Government adoption register so that she may find you if she goes looking.

Info about the Adoption Contact Register:

https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register

Use that if the birth and/or adoption was in England/Wales.

Or if the birth and/or adoption took place in Scotland:

https://birthlink.org.uk/services/adoption-contact-register/

If both of you have registered, you may be put in touch with one another.
