Ann, I keep three or four lightweight long dresses to wear in the house during very hot weather - without anything else. I’d have to make a mad dash for undies if anyone came a’knockin’. :-D

No supervising Belle, I just let Beloved get on with it, he usually does the carpets. :-)

I did a pile of ironing before the heat set in too much. Need to tidy up all round before Wednesday.

Wait for it, hopefully, they are fitting our new boiler.

So looking forward to bath, shower and washing me barnet properly. Not using a handbasin and flannel, and cups for my hair. :-D :-D :-D

OH has just made me an iced coffee made with oat milk. Lush <3 <3

Much prefer it to the Almond milk ;-) ;-)

Edited to say I preferred the oat milk to the hazelnut milk. Not Almond milk.

Belle, as it happens, the man in the car next to us saw what happened as I picked up the infringement notice from the windscreen - K had missed it and was opening his door at the same time. As he went ranting off to find the traffic officer, I took the name and phone number of the guy next to us as he’d been standing there and saw we had a car parking ticket.

This is only the second time in over sixty years of driving that he’s had a ticket and he hates anything happening out of the ordinary now - due to the stroke, I guess.

There’ll be another rant tomorrow if he still has to pay - and he may well have to do so as the situation is exactly like yours was.

What a nuisance Joy. Let’s hope the parking people see reason <3

Not the easy, laidback day I expected Ann.

It’s only 23.5 here, expected to reach 28. I have washing in the machine at the moment so it will dry quickly once it’s out.

I got a parking ticket some years back as the same thing happened to me. Alas, I had to pay it cos they said that one of the conditions of parking was that it was my responsibility to ensure that my ticket was visible from the outside before I left my car unattended :-(

However, that was years ago and I know that a lot of car parks now you have to punch your registration number into the machine and it is printed on the ticket, this was to stop people handing it to someone else :-0. If you were in one of those car parks you might get away with it cos it will prove that your car had a paid ticket at the time you were given a parking ticket....good luck :-)

I managed to fall asleep around 1.30 am ….and stayed asleep till 7.30 :-D let’s hope the cooler weather will come in for some of us tomorrow :-D :-D

All is well - but yesterday in BC did not go as smoothly as it usually goes.

Did a bit of shopping but they didn’t have the one gluten-free item for OH that we especially wanted and we have never been able to get anywhere else in our area.

Got a bleedin’ parking ticket - going to contest it as we had paid but the receipt had moved and whipped over when we shut the door. OH was not best pleased. (Anything out of the ordinary upsets him since he had his stroke where previously he’d have taken it in his stride.)

Went to our regular (before 2020 lockdown) cafe for a bite of lunch and mine was the worst I’ve ever had there. It looked to me as though it has changed hands.


OH is going to walk along to our county council parking office tomorrow to contest the fine. I’ve offered to go but, alas, he is not having it!

Whinging over - but needless to say, I ain’t stirring today. Just sitting with an iced coffee and a book.

Nothing much happening here.
I went into the back garden about 7.15 a.m to put fresh water for the birds. That might be the sum total of my outdoor activities until it cools down..hopefully..this evening. :-
