Today, August 9th, would have been my older brother's 93rd birthday.

The photograph shown at left was taken 1 week before he died in September 1991.

He was due to go into hospital 1 week after he died for exploratory surgery to determine the best treatment for heart problems, but he had stopped taking the prescribed pills for angina.

I still miss him 30+ years later. :-(

I still think about my mum, it amazes me when I realise how long she has been gone now

Thank you all.

My mother died in 1961, and my Dad in 1971, I barely remember Mum now and have to think hard about things that we did together. I do miss her though.

The one thing that I do is forget the actual date that relations and close friend died, month and year yes, dat no.

So it was a bit of a shock back in the '90s when a cousin sent me a photograph of Mum and Dad's headstone and I saw that my daughter was born on the same date as my mother died.

Very strange, and daughter does show some traits of the grandmother she never knew.
