So how is it that the news on the radio at 2pm is exactly in sync with me. Radio 2 is broadcast from london?

If I remember correctly you are in the Hebrides which is west of Greenwich so if there was a time difference you would be behind the mainland.

My phone and PC are exactly the same. Their phone and PC and strangely their Sky News channel which shows the time are all the same but 2 mins behind me. I'm baffled.
We always had a standing joke about Scotland being a different country so the time is different! But it really is lol

I think it might be something to do with how the phone and/or PC take or maintain their 'times' from different sources.

Presumably the phone will be 'checking' the time behind the scenes from a mobile network, the PC might do it differently?

Or does your phone and PC say one time, both her phone and PC say the other time?

Florence I think the Meridian line may pass one side of some Scottish Isles so that may be the reason for the discrepancy. (I have not checked though so I could be proved wrong.) :-D

I know this sounds ridiculous but is there a time difference between Scotland & England? I ask this because I phone a family member at exactly 10pm twice a week.

As soon as my phone hits 10pm, I press call. I get told Im 2 minutes early??
Last night, we both looked at the time on our phone and the PC and we differed by 2 minutes.

I have never changed my phone or PC clock ever.

Has anyone else come across this or is there a valid reason?

Florence in the hebrides :-S
