Carrie will need time to pack the wallpaper so it could be a while

I have covid! Courtesy of someone I got about two or three feet from on Monday evening before she told me that everyone at home had covid! You’ve never seen anyone take a back-step quite so quickly as I had no mask on because I was outside - but it was too late.

I’ve had four jabs too.

Gonna miss a trip to bonnie Scotland at weekend and this morning when J knocked at the door to have coffee with me before she started work, I had to send her packing. :-(

I bet she is furiously scraping as we type Island :-D :-D

Yes, Island, I saw the jokes about her stripping the gold paper from the walls and getting it ready to rehang elsewhere. :-D

The incoming people may wish that she was doing that. :-D

A bad cough and a snotty nose with a bit of an achy body - which was what made me do a test as it is so unlike me to be like that. Just goes to show that you can never be too careful though and I have kept well away from K.

Wishing you well Joy, I have had a stinker of a cold in the last week or two. I still wear my mask, so it has left me mystified.

My Dad told me when I was a teenager, never to discuss Religion, Sex or Politics, so that is what I have stuck to. :-D :-D

Joy, I assumed, which is always a silly thing to do. But on the other hand, I do not ask outright, so maybe I should read through the threads a little more carefully. :-D :-D

I wish my family were in the position to travel, I have not seen them in a long, long time. :-(

There are so many cases locally too with people who have had all their vaccines.

A really beautiful afternoon here, very warm and sunny, so I took myself off on the bus to Folkestone to see the runners with the Commonwealth Games baton.

It was lovely down by the harbour with just a gentle breeze blowing.
The baton later left there on a boat to travel up the coast to Deal.

How is everyone this evening?

The sun has only appeared within the last couple of hours.

K is fine Fly. I have kept well away from him (yesterday when I was iffy, and today). I had to call him back from his voluntary job this morning when he was just about to open the doors. Mainly because it is a small place that attracts older rather than younger people.

I know that he doesn’t have to isolate now but I think that is really unfair to others …. and I blame Boris. :-D :-D :-D

No wonder cases are rising. :-(
