How do I know if someone is still active?

GR never removes any member except for the very worst behaviour. Unless the member either removes their tree, or arranges for someone to do it, when they lose interest, become incapacitated or dies, then the tree remains on here for ever and a day. OR the member remembers to change their email address registered with GR, lots just plain forget, but it means that GR cannot contact them..

All you can do is try to send a message, and hope!

Keep checking on your Sent messages ............... there will be a dark green envelope beside it when first send it, and that is then removed IF the member opens the message.

My brother, photo taken in September 1991 just a couple of weeks before he died. ............................................................ To help us and to get better results, please post as much detail as you can, especially name, date(s) and place. Also say what you already know.

If you click on their name and it gives you an opportunity to send a message, then they are still a member. However that doesn't guarantee a reply, they might no longer be active.

Send a message, have a go.
Check if the message is opened, the envelope will fade. This might not be immediate, some folk only check now and again.

I have found a connection but I’m not sure if the person is still active, is there anyway of checking it.?
