A lovely day here too. Reminds me of when I was little and we always got a new outfit for Easter including white sandals - and it always seemed to be warm enough to wear a summer dress and sandals.

I remember one Easter, when we had gone to stay with relatives in south Wales and we suddenly had a heatwave.
My aunt borrowed summer dresses from her husband's niece for my sister and I to wear 'cos Mum had packed winter weight clothes suited to the weather we had when we'd travelled from home on the old steam train.

It was very chilly willy walkies. :-0. One of the walkers had put his shorts on....well the sun did come out yesterday ;-) Even he said the weather wasn't what he thought it would be when he set out :-0. It's absolutely gorgeous now though :-D

K is now making his g-free bread.

I am waiting for older sis to drop something off - on the doorstep she says. She has told me she won’t be coming in cos her OH has covid again. :-(

Ah Easter outfits. I went to Sunday School every week, but one Easter I had a white pleated skirt, white hand-kitted jumper, white ankle socks and white sandals.

I probably had a white ribbon in my hair too. :-D :-D :-D

Maddie, pink pleated skirt, white blouse, pink chunky knit cardie with toggles ….. it was blue for sis.

No Sunday school for me though - tried C of E, Methodist and Sally Army but could not take to them. The only reason we gave the RC church a miss was that there was not one within walking distance.

Sis loved the Sally Army - she got a tambourine . :-D

I went off to the funfair at the coast with my pals.

We have a foggy day today & a cold wind, the sun is trying it's best to break though but not happening yet!

Too chilly for garden jobs so will have to settle for a warmer indoors job instead......the ironing!

When I was little , mum would give us our eggs on G.Friday but we weren't allowed to eat them until the Sunday. Once I hid mine on the window ledge behind the curtain away from my big brother . When I came to eat it , it had melted to a big lump so it must have been a lovely warm Easter weekend back then.

I can remember 70 odd years ago but not what blinkin day it is today :-D :-D :-D :-D
