.............. when I tell the Microsoft man on the phone that my computer is being serviced by my computer geek (or technician),

...................................... the man on the phone hangs up immediately???

I've had that happen twice in the last 4 days.

Yes, the Microsoft scammers are back, after being out of action for months here ................... replaced by the Credit Card or Bank Balance "charges".

I get the 'Virgin Media' person, asking me all sorts.
When I ask them what it's got to do with them, they're not my providers, they too hang up :-D

I also get an 'Amazon' bot that contacts me on my old pay as you go.
I've never used 'Amazon'.
I have about 60p of credit on the phone, I rarely use the phone (apart from answering it to scammers), and I'm bored, press '1' to speak to a human.
When they ask me what my name is, I say: 'Surname, 'Off', then they ask me for my forename. I ask 'Shall I spell it out?' .....and I do :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It is your tone of voice Sylvia, you frighten the poor man, who after all is only trying to make a living by conning people

I always get a recorded message from Amazon and they always seem amazed and concerned that today's unusual activity is exactly the same as it's been for over a year X amount on foreign money orders and Y amount on gift cards........neither of which I even think you can get on Amazon but then again maybe you can as they sell everything!!

I also get that Amazon Prime, but telling me that my PayPal account has been charged x amount and now needs paying.

I have never used either!

Then there is the "This is the bank security" (no name) ................... reporting unusual activity on my account. That's the x amount on a gift card and over $2,000 on a foreign money order. Press 1 if I had made these charges, 2 if I hadn't , when "one of their specialist advisors will speak to me"

Yeah, right!!
