	Quite right Von. <3 The coast around the Island is very open, not even the sea wall stops it at high tide. I believe the ferry was cancelled today. It would have been like a cork bobbing around.

	Pat there were plenty of pictures online the reporters could have used. Lots of places at the coast have web cams. Ryde at the IOW being one of them. :-\|

	The Needles on the Isle of Wight had winds of 120 mph. I bet the coloured sands got a good bashing. We have had a few holidays there, but would not fancy it today.

	I have been past the Dome on DLR, but never been inside. We were going to Canary Wharf when it was just opened.

	Can someone explain to me why the reporters on the news have to stand in the middle of the disaster areas? One was down by the coast, dodging waves. :-S
