Lovely blue sky and bright sunshine, when daughter and I went shopping in Canterbury.
A tad chilly later, when the breeze got up, but nothing like you 'Northerners' are reporting.

A not bad day, really.

He went for his papers this morning and was back
in the blink of an eye. No stopping to chat with the ladies today

There’s a tree down blocking our road to the hospital. One of the local stores had to shut its doors earlier as its roof was coming off. :-0

Maddie, never thought of Marilyn. It’s more than fifty years since my hair was that unnaturally blonde.

It was Julie Andrew’s with her brolly who came into my mind. :-D

Something just came to mind. My Mum coloured her hair blonde around 1945. She was walking down the street when this sailor coming home on leave gave an almighty wolf whistle. She turned and the sailor just about dropped his bag - it was his sister he had been wolf whistling at. He had not recognised her back view!

I just blew in from the Windy City
The Windy City is mighty pretty
But they ain’t got what we got ….

High fences waving in the not-so-gentle breeze here. The one that was leaning over after Arwen (that has never been sorted yet) is now blowing side to side.

Everything else is fine in our garden (fingers crossed it stays like that) but I can see neighbours have stuff blowing all over - some into the road before they were rescued by a kindly passer-by. :-0

Things are swirling around even more today than they were during storm Arwen.

Bird table is down again, the recycling bags disappeared and the bin turned itself right round and the brick that was on top and usually stops it blowing about had gone too. All sorts of rubbish in the garden.

I'll be staying put today as usual.
