It was jolly cold and I was looking for Christmas stuff of course, well there was a lot of junk up there, boxes that we no longer have the items for anymore, I've brought down what I went up there for so tomorrow I will go back and take more junk out.
So excited I nearly peed my pants lol.

Lol...
Daughter went up in ours earlier to find tags for presents and also came down with a bag of random 'put by' presents, which were bought at some time in the past, by someone in this house, who thought
"That's a good buy"...........

Not quite sure yet if one of the gifts might find a new home this year :-S

Oh Gwyn, it makes sense to do that, trouble is I wouldn't remember what I put up there or who it was for :-(

Just been chatting on the phone to my friend, she buys all Christmas presents in the January sales or in February, writes on the cards, wraps and tags the presents then stores it all in the attic in suitcases. Well i'm not that organised and it takes the fun out of shopping at Christmas time.

I'm having to clear my living room and hall by Monday.
This means (amongst other things) taking nie on 1000 books out of the shelves (which have to be moved - apparently by me - but they can rock on) the books are now stacked in the very small spare bedroom.

Then I suddenly thought 'Where are the Christmas cards? Are they at the far end of the small bedroom?'
I had visions of going to town to buy more - which I don't have the time for, then I read this thread, looked in the attic, and there were the cards.
So, thank you, ZZzzz! :-D :-D

Goodness your friend must be super organised ZZzzz . I am not sure that I know anyone like that, I am more the buy and then forget where I've put things type of person.

Daughter keeps a list on the laptop of any early purchases and who they are for.

Works well until my laptop crashed earlier this year, :-0
but we have a large clip top plastic box in the attic and all the items are stored there, so not difficult to check them.

Christmas wrapping paper is bought in the sales too.
Also we then buy paper that doesn't have Christmas scenes or writing on, so that it can be used for other gifts throughout the year.
