Sadly only one left now and that's Micky Dolenz. Mike Nesmith has died of heart failure aged 78

RIP Mike now with Davy and Peter. <3

Sad news, indeed, Pat.

It was pleasing to hear that he died with his family around him - something that doesn't always happen, especially in the last couple of years.

When it was announced last night I wondered whether it was his Mum who made a fortune from Tippex - or the like - that she invented. I remember reading about it but I don't remember whose mother it was - not Davy's though.

It must be rather poignant for the remaining living Monkee.

RIP Mike Nesmith. <3

Yes it was Mike's mother who made a fortune after developing it Joy, she was a secretary I think.

I used to live near Micky Dolenz and his daughters were in the school/nursery school when my daughter was in the last class of the junior school section.

He did come to sports day and I often bumped into him at the local supermarket doing the shopping on his own. Tried to live as normal a life as possible. If people said hello he always answered them and I never saw anyone really bother him.
